Clarion NX501

Anyone have experience with this head unit? I have read the reviews, it appears a few firmware updates have been released since most of those reviews were posted. I know clarion was junk in the 80s, they were on the upper end in the 90s but idk about now. Price wise they come in cheaper with bundled bluetooth and sirius direct. I thought I would ask you guys if you had any experience. Thanks

Had one in my Yukon, LOVED it...newer Clarion NX602 coming out in 30 days tho

that's why the 501 is dropping in price. I can get it for $579, the new 602 is going to run $999. I really am after the display, I can make it do what I want it to do after that but the NAV got such high reviews I thought it may be worth the integration

Yup, I hgeard the 602 will have better bluetooth options, changes to screen, etc...but the 501 was awesome, with NAV, DVD, etc and to save $400....

Agree, products change every year, but Clarion to me too always seems to make top notch stuff.

I've always had good experience with clarion as well. I saw some negative reviews but I think those people attempted to add music to the NAV chip SD card. I think I'm going to order it next week some time.

Yea, thats the hardest thing you have to think about is reviews. I mean honestly, what now days has 100% perfect reviews? I searched for months over my LCD TV, and read a ton of reviews....finally had to decide for myself. Some you may never please on some stuff, always giving bad rep.
