Within the next few weeks I will be getting a 6" lift and 35" tires installed on my truck (2012 Outdoorsman 1500) and was wondering what size (drop) hitch I will need to get the ball back down to stock height. The lift is ~4.5" in the rear and the tires will add another 2" of ride height for approx. 6.5" total, so would a hitch with a 6" drop work?

IMO it depends on what height the trailer sits. I have a couple for this reason alone. If your trailer likes the current height of your truck, I'd say you need a 6" drop.

Thanks for the help, I haven't hauled anything with my truck yet but my dad tows our snowmobiles behind his expedition with no drop and that seems to work fine, so I will most likely go with a 6" then. Thanks for the help
