Are you wanting dyno results from the tester? Or just consumer type opinions? Like better throttle response, etc.?

Dyno results would be nice, but I care more about daily driving gains. Throttle response, what rpm are you feeling the gains at, any increases in fuel mileage, etc...

Dyno numbers are nice to look at, but the real world feedback is what counts the most.

We wanted to test the waters with the newer 4.7's first. If it looks like these are going to take off, then we will work on the 02-07's next.

Got my eyes on these tb's. Patiently waiting for my truck to get out of the shop(estimate 3 week fix). 1 gone, 1 still available?

No problem Matt.

I don't have a before and after scenerio though.
The truck came home from the dealer last Tuesday, and has been on jackstands pretty well ever since.
I haven't had the pedal to the floor yet:p
Figured i'd get the exhaust / CAI kit and throttle body /2" rear drop all on while it's new,and easy to take apart, getting older and lazier,:p.

It'll probably go on this afternoon,i told Audioholder,i'd hold off on the install till he got a look at the modified throttle body, but if he doesn't call soon, lol.

haha...You sound just like me...modding the truck before I even get to drive it.

Just a heads up guys, but we have 2 more 4.7 TB's in stock right now, and will be porting more early next week.

I've busted my knuckles on older stuff for too many years to enjoy it anymore, working on one that's brand new is a real pleasure.
Things come apart with only a small hammer:favorites13:

It's definitely got nicer tip in and part throttle power with the new throttle body Matt.

And that's only a short drive,so once the putor learns it a little more, it'll have a very noticable improvement.

Definitely money well spent, and well worth the money.

Make sure you put me on the list for a tuner if they become available.

Thanks Matt

Rick

The wife noticed a part throttle increase today,so it's a pretty good sized power increase, lol.

So far between the airbox / catback exhaust and the throttle body, the throttle body has shown the best seat of the pants increase.

Bang for buck,it's a better investment i think then the other 2 mods .

Thanks Matt, when the wife likes it,you've just made my day,i owe ya one, lol:cocktail:

For you guys springing for one of Matts ported 4.7 throttle bodies,if your ambitious there's a bit more free power available in them.
I knife edged the leading edge of my throttle blade, and put a very slight taper on the trailing edge of it too.
At the same time,i also ground down the screw heads and threads on the shaft.
Then i polished everything in several steps, ending with 2,000 grit wet/dry sandpaper.
Before bolting the throttle body back on,i ground the front lip of the intake manifold out a bit,to match the bore on the throttle body better.
All said and done,i spent probably close to 5 hours over a couple evenings, but it made a very noticable improvement in how the truck pulls from 3500 rpm on up,at 4,000 the truck really comes to life ,and actually puts a grin on my face.

i used a dremel and several differant sized sanding drums, and grind stones to do the throttle blade and intake port matching, then i used wet/dry sandapaper starting at 400 grit and working my way up to a finish polish with 2,000 grit.

I had everything on hand,so it didn't cost me anything but time, but if you don't have the sandpaper or sanding drums on hand, you're probably looking at about 30 bucks for supplies at your local automotive retailer
