looking at putting a 440 in my 86 w250 (8510 package) I have been driving it since oct. 17 1985 with the only option available then (360). I think bellhousing #2899104 is a correct for the np235 4 spd. trans. wondering if motor mounts from the 70,s will work . also wonder about other surprises . any help would be great !!

i don't know if your transmission would would put up with the increase in torque that a big block would be putting out. if the big block is out of a truck is should bolt in motor mount wise. if it is out of anything else you will most likely need the correct motor mount brackets/oil pan/oil pickup for a truck. most cars or rv's use a mid or front sump where the trucks use a rear sump oil pan.
