So I finally had the chance to run a full tank of gas to almost completely empty. I put in 30 gallons and ran it till my computer said I had about 20 miles left. I was able to get a total of 370 miles including the 20 miles left. Those numbers put me right at 11.5mpg which I'm completely happy with. I thought I was getting around 9.5-10mgs. So overall pretty surprised. Now the only real factor that can possibly add to my MPGs is if in fact I really only had 20 miles left. Also I'm running a 2.5" level with 20x12s wrapped in 305s with my big 300lb ass sitting in the captains seat. :happy107:

Am I missing something? Did you come up with that number only by the "20 miles till empty" assuming that would be the 30 gallons you put in? Or did you fill up and calculate, and if so, how many gallons did you put in after you went 370 miles?

Nope I ran it based off the 32 gallon tank that's why i included all mileage not just what I ran. I rarely put a full tank bc I work so close to home so I can go over a week on a half tank. I just filled up when Harvey hit Houston so I figured I'd test what mileage I was getting. ODO states 12.3mpgs so not far off

I got what you're saying now. So you started off full, drove 370 miles, and THEN put 30 gallons in. On a separate note, I'm surprised you got 30 gallons in that tank when it said 20 miles left. I have the short bed, so I have the 31 gallon tank, and when it says 20 miles till empty, I can only get 26 gallons in.

Yea I was shocked too. I was going to try and run it dry but didn't want to risk running out of gas just to figure out a precise #. Figured some ppl would like to know. Just made my day bc I thought I was getting 10 or less mpgs. Gives me hope for when I upgrade to 35s

With 91 octane, I'm getting right at or little over 400 miles to a tank under my normal driving routine.

I forgot to mention I got that mileage with 87 so I still need to see what I get on 89.

I get worse mileage with the higher octane. I am guessing because they add more ethanol to boost the octane.
I was really surprised a few weeks back when we took the boat on a long trip. According to the lie-o-meter I was getting 15.2mpg. Boat & trailer weighs about 4,000lbs. plus there were 4 people in the cab & a crap ton of luggage, snacks, drinks, well you get the idea if you are married with kids! :)
Probably was more like 13mpg if I hand cal. but even then I am really happy. Not bad... was running 65-70mph most of the time.

You get worse mileage with higher octane because you don't get a complete burn of fuel because the fuel burns slower.

To the OP, did I miss something? Is 11 mpg considered good? I get that in the winter but summertime I've never gotten that low even with 35's.

Loveracing1988.......YES that's very good. I haven't seen over 12 MPGs since I bought it and it only has 4k mikes on it. I'm curious to how you calculate your mileage. Even my ODO says average MPGs are 12.3

... There is only one way to calculate mileage. My Fuelly still should be in my signature. What my evic displays is in the notes.

I know but I don't like looking at desktop view from my phone. That's why I have a laptop. Its weird how some guys say they get 13-15mpgs and others like me get 10-12. I do mostly city driving
