Decided to make one of these...
1. The day I got it

(after removing the step bars)

Mod possibilities are endless

What do you want to be able to do with it? If your going up and the tires get bigger your gonna want to start thinking about gears..

The truck looks great though..nice mods so far.

Yeah, I am thinking 315/75/16 mt's or at's, which are basically 35's, but I don't know if I will need gears for that. I have a friend who runs them, and runs them on his stock chevy gears with no problems. I am looking at about a 3 inch lift from TGC, or a 2.5" front level from TGC. I have heard that some people clear the 315's with just the level. Not really sure though.

Spacers:
2.5" 94-01 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Leveling Lift Kit

3" with spacers:
3" 94-01 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 Suspension Lift Kit with Control Arms and Shocks

3" with coils:
3" 94-01 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Lift Kit with Coils and Shocks

I am not sure if I could clear them with just a level, and if spacers are "okay" or if coils are a better idea, and if I would need gears...

Got any closeup pics of the top of the bumper where the grille sits when the hood is closed? I see you are running a 99-01 sport grille w/ the nonsport bumper. Curious to see how its modded to fit.

Haha, funny story about that... I bought it that way... It IS a sport truck, but the bumper was replaced by a previous owner.

haha, I'm not exactly the engine guy, more of the suspension...

When I had my 2nd gen and was on the forums, changing the throttle bodies was a popular mod to improve throttle response. I don't know of a good place to order them though. I don't know what size your engine would take

I figured it out. My truck isn't a sport model, and I've done the Sport conversion before but never tried the sport grille with a non-sport bumper. I've done the other way (Non sport grille with sport bumper, and it looks hideous).

A friend of mine hit a deer with his '99 Cummins Sport, and it ended up destroying the bumper but the grille survived. He wanted to convert it to the non-sport front end, so I offered him my grille in trade. Though, I couldn't get the grille to fit without taking the upper bumper trim panel off. Today, I ended up dolleying the steel bumper down with a brass hammer and got it to all fit perfectly.

After seeing your truck and now mine, I'm not sure I want to finish it off with a Sport bumper!

Haha, thats what I am starting to think now that I see its a pretty rare thing... I like a little bit of chrome to match my rocker panels, but the grill is just too much, but I can handle the bumper...

Alright, so a few updates. I just got a new pillar pod with a tinted vacuum gauge that needs to be installed. (will take pics later)

I also am contemplating adding the foldable towing mirrors, so I have a photochop of them, and I am wondering what you all think?
