Guess I'll actually start a build thread for this.
Well I officially got the truck. I'll be picking it up tomorrow afternoon sometime.
It's a 1968 International Harvester Pickup. It has the straight six with a 4spd manual trans.
The single wheel axle was replaced with a 14 bolt dual wheel axle. All shocks were upgraded, new complete wiring harness throughout, and a pony keg gas tank made.
No bed as the previous owner decided he didn't want it an scrapped it. So I'll be making it into a flat bed truck after I pull the cab and sand down the frame of rust an repaint it all. Then minor body work to fix the doors an rusted panels.
If the motor decides not to run I'll be looking to pick up either a Chevy 350 or a Ford 4.6 with a manual trans.
But this will be a long, slow progression as I don't have much time or money at the moment, but hey they truck was giving to me for free & you can't beat that deal any day
