Xrsman 2014 Ram Build Thread

Well i thought I'd put together a build thread for my new truck! Picked it up yesterday, it's a 2014 Ram 1500 Longhorn.
8 speed Hemi, 3.92 gears, CC 4x4.

The first pics are the stock truck when I brought it home.

- 2" front level with 1.5 " rear level
- 3" body lift makes it 5" total lift

First official mod! the chrome bug deflector from my 2011 Ram. It doesn't fit quite as nice, have to slam the hood harder to seal it shut. Looks good though and will serve it's purpose!

My new exhaust came in today too! An MBRP S5146AL. I'm doing the swap tonight so I'll post pics and a video later!

Interested in the exhaust!

I either love or hate that interior, can't quite make up my mind!

I had to have it lol! I didn't care for the other longhorn interiors so it was either the Cattle Tan or get a laramie with tan leather! I confirmed with the dealer 3 times that it was the right one when he was ordering it lol! it's like the Ford King Ranch! My only wish was that the leather colour was little darker but it doesn't bother me!

Here's the MBRP exhaust installed! Looks great and sounds better! Can't wait to throw on some 5" tips though! Haha

Tonight I installed Mopar rear Ram logo mud flaps and some red LED lighting in the footwell!

I ran the wire through the firewall. The negative onto the battery and the positive to the F66 fuse. That fuse is to the sunroof. It's a 10 amp and only is on when the truck is on. I bought 2 4" strips of LED lights from Walmart for $20. Had it in my last truck and worked well for a year until I sold it! I spliced the wire from the LED lights to the main wires. I ran the wires around the center console and tucked them away underneath. Then I spliced the passenger side footwell LED wire to the main wire and fired it up!

Had my tint done yesterday! Did 15% on the front windows and 5% on the brow! I had 20% on my last truck but I'm happier with the 15!

Installed a gator back tonneau cover today! Paid $300 for it so I wasn't expecting the best quality! It's decent, will serve it's purpose! I also installed an S&B oiled intake! First impressions I as that it really makes the exhaust sound louder! I couldn't believe the difference in sound it made! Looks great too! I was away all week in Quebec and wasn't in my truck so I can't tell if it feels different performance wise. Took my dad out and we pulled a 6.44 0-60 mph. I'll try it again with just me and see how it goes.

The only issue I had with the final fitment was that the part connecting to the throttle body doesn't quite fit 100%. It seems like it doesn't want to go in all the way. I was able to get it down almost all the way and tightened the boot right up. It doesn't sound like it's leaking but I'll check it in 100 kms to see if there is any change.

Thank you! Yeah I am haha! I'm going to cool it for a bit though, save up for a lift and tires! Lol
