Offroading suspension

Im trying to deside what to do to my suspension to make it ride smoother in general and when I am at the dunes. Has anyone combined bilestien 5100's with Upper control arms? does it make a difference?

I have the 5100s and they improve the ride. Stiffer but not harsh. I recommend them. Control arms do nothing for the ride. They may be needed if you raise the nose with spacers or 5100s but won't improve the ride.

If you're going high speed in the dunes you need more than just 5100s. You'll need some type of adjustable dampening, beefier arms, proper bump stops etc. Take a look at Carli, Icon or anything that uses a coilover with external resi.

Thuren is making something for you 1500 guys.

5100s suck off road in the dunes.

Thuren has been working with Dodge/Ram for years.

Soon the 1500s will have some real suspension options.
