Hey Folks, Just wanted to introduce my truck to the forum.
Couple weeks ago I bought this black 03 Ram 2500, Hemi Powered.
Bought it really cheap from the original owner (even had the original window sticker in the glove compartment), with the intent of using it for a plow truck for next season- it came with a nice 8' Fisher Minute Mount.
Well, when I went to look at it, I couldn't believe how sharp & rust free it was for a 10 year old, and was surprised that it drove like a new truck.
The original owner took real good care of it- kept up with the maintenance.
Turns out it hasn't been a plow truck for its whole lift- that was a recent addition in the past couple years, just to do his and his neighbor's driveway.
Anyway, here's a shot of it right after I bought it:

Nice looking truck, but well...needed some "altitude" adjustment for my taste.
So I started looking into lift kits...
6" BDS Long Arm, with Fox Shocks upgrade seemed to be a good choice:

Once that was done, needed some beefy wheels and tires.
For me, it was a toss up between the Rockstars and the Revolvers, and the Open Countrys and the Trail Grapplers.
Went with the 35" Toyos and the Rockstars.
Would've gone 37's, but didn't want a hassle with inspections or cops with tape measures pulling big trucks over to bust balls down the beach.
Turns out I could've gone with 37's and still been under the 30" limit to the bottom of bumper regulation- oh well- these tires will have to be replaced someday, right? Oh yeah, the tires stuck out almost 2" past the fenderwells, so we covered that DMV regulation with a set of Bushwacker Pocket Flares:

I really like the way it turned out- looks mean, sounds mean- can somebody give me a "Hell Yeah!" out there???
