How tough was it to get the spring back in?

Had a local shop that does all the new dealers lifts do install. So not sure. They put them in, I put tires on and drove for alignment.

It's a PITA! Use more than one person and alot of patience.

Not what I wanted to hear, but thanks. I installed some on a 98 GMC and they were a PITA, I was hoping it was easier on the Ram, maybe a different coil bucket design or something.

How much did they charge?

Like $150 for complete install.

Getting the 2WD coils back in can be a royal PITA. When I had a 2WD Ram, I couldn't get it in so I went with spindles instead.

You could try coil spring compressors (they go inside with a plate at the bottom). Regarding the shocks, you can run the extenders but it could limit travel. A lot of people go with 2500 front shocks.

Just ordered 1.5" Daystar spacers. Still undecided if I want to install them myself or find a shop locally. Amazing how cheap you can get them.

Did you ever install it? How much lift did you actually get? And did it change the ride? Thanks!

I installed 2.5" spacers on my 2wd 1500. Definitely need to use spring compressors to get them back in.

Which model number or kit did you go with? Don't see a 2.5in kit for 2wd on their website. Thanks!

For all those running 2500 shocks, where do you get the bottom adaptor for the 2 screws and how do you press it in?

Bad news, either take the spacer off and go smaller or run a longer shock. If you run a longer shock you will hear stuff banging. That would be your upper control arm and your coil bucket.

I don't know about the adapter but usually just grind down one side a bit and push it in the bushing.
