Ill be buying the 5100s sometime within the next few weeks for my 2010 ram 1500 crew cab. I plan on getting a 6in suspension lift in the future and read that the 5100 will work good with that.

What do you guys suggest for the rear to level my truck out. Go with a spacer and the full 2.8" in the front. And what brand do you guys suggest for the rear spacer. New to this so as much help as possible will
B great

if you want it to sit level, just do the bilsteins in the front at 2.8" and leave the back alone. measure what rake you have before the install. my truck had exactly 3" inches of rake from front to back. my current setup is bilsteins at 2.8, 1.75" rear spacer and 35s. if you haul anything, i haul my sportsman, she squats real bad and i'm quite glad i did install a spacer otherwise i bet there would be some unfriendly contact.

I don't really have anything to haul so that's not really an issue for me, how do 35's look on your ram that's pretty much my goal for right now till I pull the trigger on a suspension lift

Usually there's a 2-3" rake on the rams so setting the shocks at 2.1-2.8" should level it out

I ordered my bilsteins from Moes yesterday and they were sent out today, thanks for the input. I'm going to measure the rake on my truck tomorrow hopefully I can set them to 2.8" and be level. Might do a small body lift while I'm at it. Any suggestions on that. Atom thanks for the pic. Ill try to post a pic once I get them put on. Have MBRP exhaust and I am thinking of going with a K&N cold air intake. Any suggestions on that. A lot of stuff I wanna do so many options lol

Might think if a tuner next. That's my next goal after the 5100. No regrets doing them first. I like the lack of rake.

Yea ill be putting a tuner on soon, got lucky and a friend of mine has a bully dog for me that he had on his ram. He switched to the ford ecoboost and is giving me the bullydog at no cost. Lucky me lol. Did I set your bilsteins at the highest level?

I did. Figured I could always use a rear coil spacer if I want some rake back, but I didn't want to have to take apart the struts to gain that last extra bit up front.

Lucky for you on the tuner. Seriously.

The new stance looks tough. What model (part#) is the Bullydog tuner that you got? You may need to load the most current file on the computer before installing it on your truck. Also, does it say anything about being cin locked? Any chance that your friend forgot to remove the tune form his truck before giving you the tuner?

Yea I would agree they are a bit more stiff but the ride is still good, in glad I took the bilstein route. Ill
Check on the part number on my bully dog but I'm 100% sure he restored his truck to factory to unlock the vin on the bully we checked several times. We're gonna give it another shot tonight with the install so hopefully we figure it out

so you guys like the bilstein over a leveling kit. Will that mess with any of your cv joints or anything like that?

Looks great! I've got a 2010 Laramie two tone paint but it's grey and beige, really like it.

So I'll be putting the 5100's on next month to level.

Looking at tires, and the new Goodyear AT Kevlar can be bought in a 34". I think this will fill out the wheel wells good. Still wondering if I should go full 35" with another tire? Keeping the stock 20" chrome rims...
