Readylift 2" level can allow 35 inch tire? Sounds unlikely

I'm fitting 35s 12.5 with torsion bar level in my 03

I just installed a leveling kit on my '11 1500. I have some rub with my 295/65R20 Trail grabbers. I am installing 1/4" spacers next week and it should fix the problem. The kit I installed though was from rough country with a 2.5 front and .75 rear.

I'm running 35x12.50x22 on a 2.5" level, only rubbing occurs at full lock in reverse on the fender liner, eventually a hole will rub through and problem solved. My 300c on 24's did the same

What's your offset too?
I'm sure it's somewhat of a negative offset or possibly too positive.

Unless you're running stock wheels and 1/4" spacers will help with that.

ReadyLift Dodge Ram 1500 2006-2013 4WD T6 Billet Leveling Kit

Found this on the readylift site. Been torn between 2.5" and 2" level, but they are saying this 2" level will allow for 35 inch tires? You guys think that's accurate?

Yes it is accurate. Think mathematically. A 35" is only 6% taller than a 33" stocker. Or better yet, most 35" tires actually measure 34.5" tall. So, 1.5" taller diameter and .75" larger radius. Meaning, the tire is less than an inch closer to the fenders. Or even if it is a true 35" then it is 1" closer to the fender.
I have had a 2" spacer and 35s on my 2007 for years. Looks great.

You will rub like a sum *****. Knock 2" off that wheel width and you'll probably still require some trimming

what manner of sorcery is this!? :roflsquared:
Seriously though I dunno about this look... I have a couple coworkers who went to 35's after a 2.5" level and if you're looking at their trucks from more than 30' away they basically just look stock-ish again because the well gap isn't there anymore. Someone a little while back here commented that they felt that 34" was the max sweet spot appearance-wise for a 2.5" spacer level or a 2.8" Bils level and I think he nailed it. Varies by brand of course.

I have bils at 2.8 with 35x12.50 on stock wheels. I was next to a ram with a 2.5" with 275/65-20s on stock wheels and his truck looked taller than mine even though I was actually taller. Mind plays some weird tricks on you.

Ive always said that 275/65 (34") is the way to go with a level.

Had that setup on my last truck... looked much better than the 35s.

Yeah I remember now it was you I was referring to above. I got a bunch of compliments about this look at work (tons of truck owners at my work) and a few of them remarked about the comment up above in this thread about the optical illusion of 35's in a level filling the well just enough to remove the appearance of height even though it sits a little higher.
