Soon, I will be that guy in the walmart parking lot, crawling under ram trucks with a flashlight to look at their rear springs.

Are just needing a picture of the rear spring without the spacer? I have a 14' and can get you a pic if that's it

Yes sir. Just the top. Want to see if there is anything coming out of the frame, or just a hole up there like mine.

A picture at the same angle as this, is really all that's needed. Thanks.

Nothing comes out, just a hole up there.

Thanks!! So unless someone with a 13' or older could chime in... Maybe it's just that the top opening is a different size... I'm really trying to put off taking mine out and measuring to prove I'm not crazy.

I watched the video of the install you were talking about. It's def different from yours and metalizers.

And the spacers he was using look exactly like what I have, and they fit that thing perfectly.

Got my spacers in, these things are beefy....I see now why you wouldn't want to install a spacer on bottom

Mine did not look like that.

What size/material/brand are those?

Looking at those, that's what I would expect to go up top. They have cylinders coming from top and bottom and they look to be plenty big enough to hold it in place in the frame and spring. Mine has about a 1/2" cylinder on top and that's it. Those also look wider. If you could possibly measure how wide the spacer is... I'd like to compare with mine.

The spacers are already in the truck, fit great with the spring insulators. They are the TGC steel 1" spacers

Now I need to bring the Bils up to 2.8

Yep. I installed the 1.5" steel spacer and it was large and heavy like that one, it fit perfectly inside the frame opening and the top of the coil spring

Definitely need them at 2.8!

I'm going to call tgc whenever they open again.. Curious to know if the poly are the same design as the steel.

I just put the same TGC 1" steel spacers on too. Fit great up top. The Poly spacers are different. They are a match to the shape of the spring base and I would put them on the bottom by looking at them. Maybe the original threader got the wrong instruction leaflet from TGC.

No I actually called tgc a few days after posting this question.. And the guy on the phone said they all go on top... Which is what sparked this whole thing for me.

Well I've got the TGC 1" and this is what mine looks like. There was no possible way mine would go up top, so I mounted them on the bottom and so far haven't had any problems.
