Here is my setup of a 42" bar. 64cd038b03d5748ce08e483864d3215f.jpgc01117e332dfb7e715ef2c9577edf002.jpge730790aa374466035064fb7abba3ce4.jpg
This is a 42" auxbeam combo 5d light bar. I purchased it from auxbeam for $170 and received it within a week. For 170 I am very impressed with it, my brother in law has a rigid and he said side by side he could not even tell that there was a difference... The light output is insane! I wired it to a on/off/on switch. One setting is just on when ever I want and the other is off the high beam. 5444323fb187b537f6d720e819b72464.jpg

I've been looking for someone to do this with our bumper types. I like it!

How did you set your bar up with the 3 position switch? What did you use for a trigger to make it come on with your high beams? When I was digging through mine I was just gonna tap into the high beam wire coming off the bulb that I've done with previous trucks but this ram had a constant 5v, when off and 12v, when on.

I will try to get some tomorrow. But so far so good! Still works, I also pressure washed my truck with it on and no condensation got behind the lens

sorry I couldn't get any last night but it was poring out and it was just messing the picture up.. I tried with my iphone 6s first but it wouldn't even pick up close to the light output. So then i tried my sisters nice Nikon camera and it got the output a lot better.

4500k 35w hid lows with halogen fogs
High beam
Low/fog and light bar

you can really tell the difference with the bar. It is like the sun! When you turn your highs on with the bar on you really cant tell the difference. Even with the better camera it still doesn't show how much of a difference and how bright it really is.

I tapped into the positive wire running into the high beam bulb behind the dust cap. That was the easiest place because I had the headlight already out to put hids in.

How did you mount the light bar to the bumper like that?

I have a Big Horn Edition with the same bumper style as you do and tow hooks as well. I have two Rigid Dually Spots I wanted to mount behind my grille but found out I can't due to active shutters. So I moved to the bumper idea and searched for literally days before I found this thread. So please share the secret!

I just drilled all the way through the plastic and metal then just bolted it down. You might want to shim between the plastic and the metal bumper because there is a 1/4" gap between the plastic trim piece and the actual metal bumper, so when you tighten it down it pulls the plastic down. I've had it on for quite some time now and it hasn't loosed up or done anything to the plastic. b90f773459fc3a5c64f006b2d88cd90e.jpg61e40d23eff0c6f16f9172f3f67a427e.jpg

I did see that gap when I was investigating ways to mount. How did you reach your hand under that metal bumer to tighten the nut down? I'm kinda worried about drilling into the metal but maybe I'll have too if I can't find another way. Thanks for the pics!
