Doing some touch up work from a hit-n-run accident, decided to break out the plastidip and painted the grille and front emblem as well.

Yeah looks good.
You should plastidip the base around the antenna as well maybe, to black it out completely.
Thumbs Up!

yeah, the antenna base started looking like that pretty early on. going to see if chrysler will warranty it. I have hit it with enough armor all that it shouldn't be turning colors.

That's what armor all does!

I sanded down my antenna base and painted it to match my truck. That's an alternative if you don't want to go the plasti-dip route.

thanks everyone for the comments. I also through a clear coat on the emblem which gives it a bit of shine. Also takes away the plastic/rubbery feel that you get with plasti dip. I am thinking about trying to mix up some plasti dip that is close to matching the mineral grey bumpers and to the horizontal slats on the grill. Right no it is kind of just plain. Would love to do RC grill inserts that leaves the center bar, don't want to loose the ram head. Going to buy a new rear emblem and try to do the same on the back. Don't want to remove the rear until I know it comes apart like the front.

That makes doing the changes hard, not impossible. If not could always reverse the look and do mineral grey ram head with black background. A little bleach should remove the chrome coating.

I know my back emblem came apart. But it's not as easy. It was plastic welded in a couple spots.

How does the antenna base come off. I am thinking painting it is the best route. Tried several restore kits and nothing has worked.

Thanks, took several coats of paint, and has 8 coats of clear. If it flakes like the last color scheme it Will be custom billet badges. Starting on a rear emblem. Got it scuffed and primed, now i have to get it masked to do the two tone color to match.
