Mopar Splash Guards Won't Fit

Guards are pretty straight forward. I've never had problems installing factory flaps on another vehicle. I've picked up a set of splash guards # 82212287AB / 82211228. They don't fit squarely or flush with the body lines. The rear screw hole on the guard doesn't line up with the hole on the body without positioning it in a way that looks strange. These are supposed to fit 2013's.

Also, does anyone have advice on removing the plastic wheel well liner without ruining it? I'm attempting just that, to little avail.

Anyone dealt with this before? It is a rear guard, if anyone wondered if I tried mounting the wrong one.

Mine went on with no trouble, '14 Express. Can't tell from the picture, plastic trim removed ?

Yea, the trim piece is off. I'll give it another go when work isn't so hectic. This is really embarrassing I'm asking how to install a splash guard.

I would take them back or look on the lot to see how others fit, that just doesn't look like they were made for your model year.

When I bought my Husky Mud Guards for my truck they came with a protective film that I applied prior to installing the mud guards. I suppose you could find something similar(?).

PAINT PROTECTION FILM INSTALLATION
The Paint Protection Film is a precut template of film used to protect the mud guard mounting surfaces of your fenders against wear. The templates (left and right side) can be removed from the backing liner by folding the liner at the center cut of the template, separating the film sides and peeling the film templates from the backing liner. NOTE: Install the paint protection film supplied in your installation kit before installing the mud guards.

Looks like a front one your trying to install on the rear there, even though you said they are correct.

Mine installed no problems and fit perfect.

Closing this thread up. Both sets came with mounting instructions for the rear, and the bags had part numbers listed for the rear. However, one bag had a front guard set, and the other had a rear guard set. Go figure.

Put them on a few months ago when the weather was still decent. There's helicopter tape between the guards and paint. I couldn't bring myself to drill a brand new truck, so the additional holes are still empty. All in all they're looking great.
