I found this thread thru image search... black on black

http://www.ramforum.com/showthread.php?t=34246

Then I see this and think it looks badass

This is the exact silver I'm looking at.

Appreciate all the input fellas. We laid 3 colors on the hood this morning....Silver, charcoal and matte black. Matte black got my vote. Will do some pics later.

Matte black or matte dark gray for contrast with the shiny black paint would be my choice.

I like the idea...go for it!

It's not my cup of tea, but it's not my truck (the same goes for your wife).

Go put them on there in the morning, leave them for a few days, and then decide what you think of them. If you don't like them...pull them off.

Edit: By the way...I am generally not a fan of aftermarket wheels, but those wheels you've got are pretty sweet OP.
Those wheels look like the stock 20".. Not aftermarket.

I love hash marks. I've been toying the idea of putting your exact proposal (silver on black) on my vette for a long time.

I've also tossed the idea around about doing the matte black to my silver sport crew. I think Rams are the only truck that can pull them off though; they don't look great on the chevy and fords.

Nate confirmed as much earlier :
Believe it or not they are the stock Laramie 20" chrome clads. I just got some black lugs and black Mopar center caps to set them off.

Stripes look good too!

Yeah they looked exactly like the ones I have on my 2011 Longhorn. Where did you get the black lugs?

I ordered them on Amazon....My sleeved lugs were failing so they needed to be replaced anyway. Gorilla has them in black as well.

Geez...Silver, what was I thinking?!?!?

The guy was super nice and cut strips to throw on there so we could decide. After cleaning her up good I absolutely love them and happy I went thru with it.

For one comment above, the red hooks don't look that intense in person. I painted them a couple weeks ago and still trying to decide if I'll keep them or go back to black.

I almost forgot I got the windows tinted as I was so focused on the stripes. Really pleased with the whole package right now. Thanks again for all the feedback.

definitely like the look. i dont, or havent yet, seen any up here in alberta so it would keep it unique. i agree with everyone else on going with the darker matte ones. looks more subtle but still adds character haha
