Looking to pick up a roof rack for my 1500 express. Want to be able to put my kayak on the roof of my fishing rods instead of them flying around the bed.

Anything you guys recommend without breaking the bank? I feel like for something so simple they are expensive

Not a roof rack but a decent alternative, check out the Yakima BedRock. I can't post pics since Photobucket decided to try to extort the entire internet but I have the Yakima BedRock system on my CC with a Load Warrior basket mounted to it. You could attach a variety of mounts to the bars of the BedRock system. It's worked really well for us over the years hauling a variety of cargo.

i don't see how a roof rack, like the ones on the nissan, are going to solve your issue.

As mentioned, I would say the Bedrock or the bed extender is your best bet, especially with price. I have looked at all the racks, Inno, Rhino, Yakima, Thule, etc.. They all are all going to run you over $500 with kayak attachments. Besides, putting the kayak all the way up on the roof will be a pain. My kayaks are only 10 feet long, so one $5 strap keeps them on tight, takes me just a couple minutes to load them up.
