Adam,
I have a 22" Magnaflow and when I put the 5" tips on I found that the sound of the muffler changed and was alot lower sounding rumble and the "bark" was gone. I think it sound a lot better now.

Not sure what you mean buddy?
The portion where it clamps on to the tailpipe is rounded so it can slide around like a ball and socket joint. He' asking if you had to remove the ball portion on the factory tailpipe to fit these tips and if so how's it adjusted to center properly.

Oh, My truck didn't have stock tips or exhaust when I bought it.
The old tips were cut off to a length the new tips would look fine.

So that's why I have no idea what he meant. Never seen the stock tips. lol

Yah I want to keep that ball socket thing so I can always adjust my tips if I need. Unless I can find tips short enough and can just weld them on before that.

my 5" tips came with the Magnaflow cat back, I can't imagine the tips costing 1/4 of the exhaust price.

Here's mine. I custom made them 5" double wall stainless and then burnt the tips. These I made to fit my dynomax cat back that has 2.5" dual exhaust.

Adam, those are the right ones. Just a heads up, but we sold our last set on Tuesday, and should have more ready to ship next week.

That must have been my order :)

I love them.

Easy, easy bolt-on. The only thing that made mine not "just" bolt-on is that the factory clamps were spot welded to the tip, so I had to cut them off (the new tips didn't come with clamps). All in all, a 20 minute job.

As others have said, and you can see for yourself, they look like that's what the factory should have done.

I notice a definite change in sound. A very little bit louder, but more notably, it's a deeper more hollow tone. You can tell why just in handling them - they resonate every little sound.

Can the bolt on ones from Moes be adjusted for a small body lift like stock ones can?

Yes because they use the exact same ball/socket connection as the stock tips.

Thanks for that information! As you can see, I definitely have a void to fill with the body lift on top of the suspension lift:
