Rams pick up the speed after the gearbox, so the gears do not effect the speedo, only the tire size.

Correct and you can have dealer adjust speedo even if you cannot use tuner or do not have one for those that can.

You would only need to do that for different tire size, not for changing gears

Yes that is why I said correct. Tire size causes issues with speedometers not gears on Ram anyways. The tuner allows you to.change gear ratio but I am not sure what the point is.

I wish I had your dad's problem lol, I have a similar truck (qc hemi outdoorsman), but can't get the rear tires to break loose in a straight line launch at all, unless it's wet, etc.

I disagree I have 4.56 gears and nearly 35" tires and I can peel out anytime anywhere both tires too since I have an Auburn. Intake makes it even easier but overall gears are the best mod possible IMO.

Do you have any kind of tuner? Because I have an rt so I have the 2600 stal and 4.10 gears with like 31" tires and I can barely get a chirp mostly because of the torque management

I have Hypertech tuner which I run set to stock and only use for my speedo and delaying the speed MDS kicks in. When I tune my truck with Superchips or Hypertech it idles poorly.

Hey guys I'd like to be rid of my 3.55's as well. I don't plan on going any bigger then the stock tires so what would you guys recommend in that situation? 4.10's or the 4.56 still? I do mostly hwy driving back and forth to work but the 3.55's gotta go. My 2010 had the 3.92's which should be the minimum in these trucks i believe. Thanks for any input.
