Hey what's a good fuse to hook my Bullydog tuner to under the hood? I can't seem to find one that turns on and off with the ignition. Thanks.

Try M33, this is going off of memory though so I could be way off.

I hooked mine up to the fuse that powers the outlet in the back seat. Because it is a "Switch Power" meaning it turns on and off with the truck.

Not sure if the fuse box is any different on a 2013 1500 compared to a 2012 2500. I don;t have the truck with me right now so I can't tell you what fuse it is on point but it is on the lower left side of the fuse box. (Asuming you have the outlet in the back seat like I do)

But it worked perfect. I also like being tapped into that fuse because when the remote start is on the BD will not power on until you turn the key.

All the fuses have "F" notations on them and the ones in the voltage we need are all micro fuses. I guess the one for a similar application to the rear outlet is F90/F91

Got it all installed and now the CE light is on. I thought it was because I was too high up on the tune, so I backed down the tune to 89 octane tune. I am about to top off the tank (I am at 1/4 tank of 89 right now) with 91 octane.

I asked the Bully dog to find out why the CE light was on and it came back with "no dtc codes found"

I restarted the truck and CE light is right back on...

Any ideas??

Try resetting the computer by disconnecting the negative battery terminal. Even though the tuner said no DTC's present, does it give you an option to clear them anyways? If so, give that a shot as well.

I searched around and couldn't find an answer regarding the install of the bullydog tuner. I just installed my apillar and gauge mount and would like to wire my tuner to turn on with the key. Is there a way to do this without going through the firewall? Maybe a wire under the dash by the pedals that I can just tap into? Thanks

Do you have electric seats (for adjustment) or heated seats? I don't have either. What voltage would I be looking for?

no mine is all manual and your looking for 12 volts or as close to 12 volts as possible u may get like 11.9 turn your key on and which ever comes on is the one you should tap into i know there is a black and red wire thicker then the others don't tap those they are constant

I wanted switched power for my tuner so I used the far left harness (closest to the center console) and top right cable in that harness. Bought the cable tap adapter thing at my local auto parts store. Because the cable coming out of the harness was so small, I had to strip the outer black insulation from the bullydog power cable. Inside there was a red and black cable. I only used the red cable from the bullydog power cable and the cable mentioned up top from the harness. Hope this helps someone.

Probably should have wired in a relay to that. Run a power from the fuse panel with an in-line fuse. Use the harness wire to trip the relay. Don't want to pull amperage from a circuit when you don't know what it's rated for.

Could I file my current setup under the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" category and be ok?

I've been running mine from that point for months without issue along with my amp remote wire haven't blown a fuse or anything. I'm with you if its not broke don't fix it. besides the bully dog barely draws any power from this wire at all.
