Don't get me wrong, I still love to peek under the hood and stare at my Hemi from time to time, but you gotta admit that our engine bays are pretty boring compared to the Challenger and Durango engine bays! Has anyone found any after market engine covers for the 5.7 Hemi? I thought about hydro dipping my cover but I can't decide on a pattern or theme. I'd like to get a totally different cover like the Durango's have but it wont fit due to the air intake. I can't believe that no one is making replacements with cool designs or carbon fiber? We don't even have cool 345 Hemi valve covers or anything like that!

So what have you guys done to dress up your engine bay? Show me some pics, ideas and links!

That's pretty sharp, DavidRam! I have thought about the Vararam intake but don't want to have to uninstall it before every winter! We get a decent amount of snow around here! They do look awesome though!

Those half covers look sweet...I am going to look into them!

Thanks man! 3G Customz makes the half covers with custom cutouts that can say anything you want (Mopar, Hemi, 5.7, etc..). Then you have them painted or powder coated. Mine has my own logo and I had them powder coated, then painted the back plates with red/black and added a piece of plexi glass between to give it more depth.

Did they fit or did you have to modify them to fit the Ram 5.7?

Agreed, 3G Customs if you want covers. I'm using their 6.1L covers for my truck which have been painted and hydro dipped but their 5.7L Truck ones fit just fine. Mine are a little less obvious that Dave's with the blower and catch cans in the way.

Back at you! I would keep an eye out for them in the classifieds, I have seen them pop up there a couple times...

Here are some finished pics of the engine bay:

I just took David's drawing with the spec for the design to my local machine shop and they are going to make me one out of aluminum for $60. Figured can't beat that, should be done next week.

Man some you have some nice looking bays going here. I haven't even thought about changing that out.

So just put the cover on, will have to move a few wires around to clean it up but I think it looks good.

Came out awesome!!! Looks just like DAVID Rams! I have been wanting to have one made as well! Do you recommend any changes to the design?:)

On mine I did trim a little arc into the side next to the hood prop, as it might hit.
Though mine was closer because of the BT hood prop cover, and I was concerned about scratching it...

David is right, now that I have it in the truck I think a small section cut out for the hood prop would be advisable.
