need help deciding which is the best direction to go. Im throwing around the idea of having new mandrel bent tubing welded on after the manifold collectors up to either a duel in duel out magnaflow muffler goin into the remainder of the stock exhaust or an x pipe into 2 mufflers (cherry bomb or thrush mufflers) then into the remainder of the stock exhaust.

dont want a bad drove on the cab but want a good sound. any advice would be appreciated. any idea on a cost of this would be helpful too. thanks

Cost would be very difficult to guess as local labor rates and shops can vary quite a bit. Either combination may have some drone to it. It is a byproduct of the MDS creating a low frequency harmonic. That is why some companies offer a j pipe to combat this (Mufflex). Why such a complicated approach when a simple replacement muffler will offer roughly equivalent gains in noise and power?

i saw a guy on here replaced the pipes between the collectors and the muffler to make it a true duel setup. less restriction then the factory exhaust and the exhaust collector right in front of the muffler.
