Those with stock mufflers. Can you tell when Mds kicks in?
I swear I couldn't but since about 2 weeks I can tell every time. Just passed 36k. No leaks found with adds to my confusion.

Not at all. From steady cruising on the interstate to mild acceleration, or strong acceleration, extremely smooth transition. Can't hear, or feel any difference. The 2005 Jeep GC I had with the 5.7, at low speeds had a very slight hesitation going from 4 to 8 cylinder operation. Not so on the new Ram.

Thanks guys. So if my exhaust doesn't have any leaks( checked by dealership and another shop) than what could it be? Burnt out muffler? Dreaded Manifold bolts?

I can tell with my stock muffler if I'm driving slow and steady, 25-35mph.

I can feel it but it took me a while.
Just the slightest bit of a vibration is noticeable.
Stock exhaust with oem sport muffler.

I could tell but not because of the exhaust. I could just generally feel it kick in from vibrations. Now I have a Carven Progressive on and you can easily tell from noise alone. Either way soon as I throw it in drive I hit the ESR and disable MDS. I didn't buy a pickup to get good MPG.

I could never really pick up on it until I put the carven on amd then it droned like a mother. I disabled mds on my new tune and it has been much better.
