I would imagine a little better throttle response.
Probably no noticeable HP/TQ pickup by itself.

I noticed really good throttle response on my truck. I even uninstalled the tuner before I did the TB install and it kind of felt like it still had the tuner in it. I would definitely do it again if I had to.

Why the Y pipe? Are you going dual out? Just wondering cause I just got the 12278 and I'm running dual out.

The factory Y-pipe in front of the muffler is crushed and very restrictive. Replacing it isn't going to give a neck snapping performance increase, but it is an improvement over stock. If you can find a shop to weld the y-pipe in for $100-$120, then I say its a good mod. If shop rates in your area are higher than that, then I wouldn't mess with the Y-pipe unless you are also adding headers.

Since the welding is gonna be free for me......the Y pipe was a no brainer.....better flow for $30.
Will definitely look into the throttle body soon.
