I want to replace my upstream oxygen sensors but i cant decide which brand to buy. After being told by several people to stay away from bosch i would like to find out everyones opinion. Should i go with OEM replacements or the NGK/NTK sensors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

o2 sensors are extremely sensitive and can completely throw your tune off if they are not perfect. I would say you are fine with aftermarket on most other sensors, but for the o2's, I would go with OEM.

I appreciate it. They are a little cheaper than the ntk/ngk anyways. As far as changing them im almost at 79k, would now be a good time to replace them for prevenative maintenance even though im not throwing any codes?

I think you are fine as long as you arent throwing any codes right now. They are easy to replace and easy to find, so it would only take a few days to replace if 1 starts giving you trouble.

They are very easy to get, so I just dont see a reason to spend money on them unless you know they are bad. The sensor will trigger a code well before it has any bad effects on the motor, so if you get a code, then you can usually pick these up at your local dealership same day or next day, and they only take 5 minutes to swap out. Its a very easy fix if they ever start to give you trouble.

I have noticed that my diadlo intune isnt very good at pulling codes compared to the SC Vivid i used to have. When i replaced the factory radio with an aftermarket i got a code on my SC for radio disconnect with the trouble code number. With the diablo everytime i try to pull codes it says no codes found even though i have a check engine light after key is turned on but goes away after start up. Is that normal that the intune isnt accurate at pulling codes or should i contact cs to see whats up with that.

If you have a check light, it should pull a code. I would say not normal. Contact them for sure.

I have noticed this with some of the diesel tuners as well. On my last truck, I had a Smarty tuner that I would use just to pull codes because my Bulydog didnt always register them. I liked the power of the Bullydog better, but the Smarty was better when it came to acting as a code reader. It would be worth calling Diablo though just to see what they say.
