can someone please explain to me why i cant spin my tires? 4.7liter. 20' stock rims and regular tires. i got pulled over for spinning my tires even though i know i cant do it and got into bigger trouble than i had hoped for. ive googled it and pretty much came up with nothing. a couple days after the incident i went out in the country and tried it 4 times without a sound from the tires. i probably woke up the cop with my exhaust and startled him. any websites anyone knows of? or anything that can prove my innocence would be great.

I got pulled over for spinning tires on a highway under street racing laws
I was in a mini cooper and my foot slipped off the clutch when my boot got stuck on the floor mat just after I pulled out of a car auction haha

Whats your gear ratio? What size tires? If you're runnin the stock 3.55's with anything over a 265 its not a wonder really. My buddies 02 4.7 with 3.55 couldnt spin the 285/70/17's he had on it. For a 33" tire I generally recommend 3.92-4.10 for gears, thought Im not sure if its the same for you 3rd gen guys aha. Someone care to chime in? You tried to spin your tires near a cop? Thats generally a bad idea man haha.

i have a 03 sc with a 4.7 that came with 17s and it has 20's now i believe it has 3.55s but not sure. if i start out power braking i can get a good 12 to 15 feet of spinning and from a stand still just flooring it, it will spin for a second or two. but the same thing with my dads 06 qc with a 4.7 it wont even power brake on grass and it also came with 17s but has 20s now

It is pretty much impossible to prove you didn't light them up unless you have a video. Same said for the cop, does he have video? His word against yours with no witness on hand I'd say you lose.
