OK, I’m confused. I got the build sheet from Dodge and it says that I have a “DGV 4-Spd. Automatic VLP 42RLE Trans”.
Looking at the label on the side of the transmission I see two bar codes, one is TPKT2227E0161 and the other is P04800711AA and out to the right of the label I see the number 711 and below that the letters AA. What do these numbers and letters signify?
I just replaced the transmission oil filter and need the correct torque specs for the pan bolts.
Looking at my Haynes manual I found two specs as follows…
46RE/47RE/48RE transmission 125 in-lbs
454RFE/545RFE transmission 105 in-lbs
I see no spec for the 42RLE nor do I see any mention of the 42RLE anywhere in the manual.
Anyone know the correct torque setting for the 42RLE?
