My parents started a business last fall and I have been delivering, hauling trailers to shows, and hauling (in the bed and trailer) tons of stuff.

This past weekend I took 3-> 100 mile round trips each day with a 6x12 u haul fully loaded. I felt that I lacked a little get up and go, and that the heavy wind was destroying me on the high way. (I do have the 287, I know its not ideal but its what I have and it is paid off)

I have a 6 inch lift, 4.56 gears, and (295/70/18) 34.5 inch tires.

I am wondering what set up would net the best, but still visually appealing set up? My tires are 2.5 years old, still have decent tread but I am assuming that this winter or next spring I will be up for tires again.

So I guess four things I need help figuring out.

Lift->
Tires->
Maybe a change in gearing?-> (I hope not that ish was expensive.)
Performance to help off set heavier load->

I appreciate your help in advanced and look forward to your help.

I guess I will start with an idea that is floating around.

-> go to factory suspension + 1.5 coil spacer + lowering shackle + rear air bags
-> look at a 31-32 inch wider tire to help with driving in the wind
-> keep 4.45's
-> headers/superchips ( I have CAI and a ported TB)

Since you have 4.56 gears I'd just lower it to stock height and throw on some airbags and get a superchips. Exhaust/headers won't really make any difference when towing.

Yeah...get it down a bit, add something to help level out the rear under load and narrow the tires a bit. They cause a huge amount of drag.
