For the past week ive been ready to drive my truck off a cliff and forget it ever existed....new throwout bearing is junk, blew an airlift bag and my rear axle is howling like crazy.

Long story kinda short: broke the driveshaft 6 months ago and the pinion flange became loose, i snugged up the nut and went on my way with no problems. 3 weeks ago i go to replace my output flange seal and the pinion flange was loose again. I looked up the torque spec, (210 ft/lbs) put the torque wrench on it and went on my way although i thought that number was awfully high. A week later the clutch started chattering real bad and put it back on the lift and i could not move the driveshaft at all because the pinion flange was so tight. i loosened it, replaced the clutch that was dead anyways and ive been fine up until 3-4 days ago. pinion flange is loose again, and this time it was about ready to fall off. I tightened it before i left work but i dont trust it, and before the ring and pinion are total junk i want to fix it.

Im definitely going to replace the pinion nut but should i do the crush sleeve as well since its probably toast? Ive also found a crush sleeve eliminator kit but not sure if itll solve my problem.

Sorry for the novel of an explanation but thanks in advance for any help

From experience of having my rearend apart 4 times trying to fix it. I would recommend buying a complete seal and bearing kit. After I completely re built mine all problems have went away.

I have tried the spacer kit and I am not sure if it helped I had that for about 7000 miles until my bearings went bad and then this last time since I think mine has been open about 4 times he put it back to a crush sleeve again. These rear ends are not bad they just involve precision and patience and not all mechanics have those.
