Im trying to figure out which would be best a full sweep trans temp gauge or a short sweep. I am looking at the auto meter 8557 or the 8549. I want the one that is easiest to install and comes with everything needed to install. If i need some NPT fittings no biggie i can pick those up. Any help would be appreciated and also any recommendations on where to connect the temp sendeer would help a lot. Here are a couple links for what im wanting.

Full sweep will make it easier to get a more accurate idea of actual temperature.
That being said, something like transmission temp is either 'ok' or 'WTF'. It tends to quickly change, not slowly creep, so I'd go with a short sweep personally.

Get a high capacity transmission pan with a sensor **** in it.

My preference is full sweep. Not only does it give more precise readability, they are easier to monitor in the periphery while driving. I would be that those Auto Meter gauges would come with everything needed to hook up.
