I just purchased a 2004 ram 1500 awd. It is stuck in 4 hi and won't switch back to awd. I'm just curious if there is an easy fix I don't know about or if it's going to cost an arm and a leg to have it fixed at a shop? If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Are you talking about 2WD? There's no AWD in Ram trucks... there's 4WD Auto, but I don't think your year came with that option.

Actually I think 2004 was the only year? I've never read a post on this or any other forum regarding an AWD Ram that wasn't a 2004. Sorry I can't help you, and since the AWD rams are pretty rare, it may be a pickle getting the issue sorted out.

It's very likely that I'm wrong. I'm only basing my thought on the lack of info on the interwebs, and the fact that I've only seen stuff about 04s. Very interesting though! It's like that M&M and Santa commercial... "They do exist!"
