Hey guys, I've watched rubber frogs video on the 3" lift for an 03 1500 but just had a quick question. After reading the instructions provided by PA this job looks difficult. But everyone on here says its not too bad. My buddy has worked in a body shop for over 10 years n my uncles quite the gear head as well. Just wondering if the 3 of us would be able to tackle this project in a day. Lastly would it be a good idea to spray all bolts that will be coming out at least a day or two before just to break free some of the rust.

You can do it yourself it's just helpful to have extra hands and it will be time consuming. Pa called for like 10 hours of labor for the one I had for my ford which was like 16 give or take with breaks, trips to a zone, beers and so forth. One day from early to late maybe but I would reserve a whole weeken for that project.

There was something in the manual with taking apart the 4x4 shifter if it's manual. Do I have to do this or is it for other trucks. I do have manual shift for 4x4 on my truck

There might be some sort of extension cable possibly. My ford was 2wd so I'm not too sure that would be my guess. Did your kit come with an extension of some sort? Match your parts list with the parts and go from there!

I haven't actually ordered the kit yet. Gonna order it once I get my taxes back. Just sucks cuz on their website it doesn't list all of the parts that come with the kit. If someone had a list of all of them it would be awesome

Alot of the times the instructions being read out will sound harder then the actual install. Hell ya should read the install manual for a Wideban meter and all ya do it plug it in, weld a **** and hook up a power.

Haha yeah I noticed that too basically because it just starts listing parts you gotta take off and et outta way. But when you crawl under the truck you know where everything is so it makes it easier.

So sounds like most of the stuff that is coming off is just to get it out of the way? I read through the parts list and didn't look half as bad as the instructions make it look haha

Kind of yeah. Lol anything you need to "take off" is to either extend something like for the ford I needed to extend my fuel neck line to accompany the lift and also the shifter link needed to be extended but other than that it's not too bad
