I didn't know where to put this. Just wanted thoughts on it in general to replace leaf springs. I was behind this Chevy today. Just taking in all the metal work. I thought that must be a nice ride. It looks so smooth. And then he hit a potholes.... Wow. Tire hop hell.

the truss was over done also. But I guess needed for the system to work.

Im guessing your looking for more of an off roading suspension. Theres some ridiculous setups out there

I guess its actually a 5 link.

This wasn't stable. I think it needed a track bar

Im definately aware of similar setups for offroad. Jeep wranger for example. I just don't think whatever that is worked well

a properly designed and sprung 4 link would be superior to leafs in every way imaginable.

That being said, I highly doubt these people took anything like thrust angles into account. The fact that it has some weird trac bar setup makes me really question it's usefulness / design.

There's a good deal of geometry behind it, definitely not something you can just weld up with what you have laying around
