All I've been able to find are 6" lifts for this truck. Are there any bigger lifts for a 2008 1500 4x4?

TIA

At the risk of sounding stupid here... I've only ever seen 6" susp. lifts (then again i haven't really researched them much) but couldn't you do a 6" suspension with say a 3" body which is ultimately going to give you pretty close to 9"?? Provided you like that look that is... I don't really like body lifts cuz you've got a lot of frame showing but that's my opinion only. Take it as a grain of salt lol!!

I know on the Gen3 trucks, when you start getting more than 6.5" of lift, you start needing custom control arms and stuff. My buddy was running the Fab Tech 6.5 suspension lift with a 3" body lift, rolling around on 40's...to run flares, he needed 2" more lift to clear them, and keep the 40's...in order to go over the original 6.5" suspension lift, he needed to get new control arms. IFS is trick and very limited when it comes to lifting to the extreme.

Wow!! Would love to see that, probably pretty sick!

Most kits bigger then 6" are custom
You need to drop the up and lower control arm mounts and usually run different control arms to get any kind of additional travel.
With bigger lifts you'll want bugger tires which should be supported by stronger axles and such

Yep that's the same thing that I read all night when looking at lift kits.

And by the time you do all that, it would have been cheaper and better just to do a SFA.

with the ifs 6' is prolly the most u should go anyways without risking beating up the front end really quick. id say the weight of 37s is prolly the biggest u should safely run. dont wanna be snapping cv's
