Hey guys,

I need some help here. I have a 2004 1500 2WD 4 door and I want to put the Rough Country 2" leveling kit on it. I'm wondering what all tools I may need (jack, jack stands, torque wrench, coil compressors, etc) to do the job? Also, any idea how long this might take someone to do on their own? I don't know where to find any information on the specs too incase I do need to use a torque wrench to tighten some things down or anything else I might come across. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

takes about a 45min for both sides and you dont "need" a coil compresser if you do it a certain way but it helps and your going to want to get longer shocks eventually.

It'll depend on how much experience you have, how corroded things are, and if you have any help or not. I did my level by myself with not too much corrosion in a morning...a little more maybe. The first side definitely takes longer. :) As far as tools, I rented a coil spring compressor from Advanced Auto and did the rest with my jack stands, ratchet, pitman arm puller, BFH (big freakin' hammer) and a lot of elbow grease.

I followed a DIY thread that was on another forum. Check YouTube, there are probably some videos there that would show you what to expect.

Having some problems leveling my truck as well :/

Seems like i'll need to take out stabilizers and lower ball joint to let the arm loosen up a bit. Any experienced suggestions ?

So it wasn't to bad huh? Thats some good news! I figure I can do it by myself, maybe get one of my buddies to help a little and maybe knock it all out within 4 hours or so.
