Dash Kit

Just picked up an '06 Ram, but unfortunately they came stock with those hideous fake wood dashes (sorry to anyone who likes them!). Interior:

This is what I'm looking for:

Something that looks like it was aluminum brushed. Not necessarily chrome, but anything that compliments the light interior as a second color would be nice. The decisions I've came down to was to pry the pieces off of another Ram in a junkyard, but I didn't find any vehicles in nearby lots, or repaint the current ones but I wasn't able to find any suitable colors at a local hobby lobby and menards. So, any credible websites out their that sell dash kits? Credit card safe of course

You can have it wrapped though, maybe cheaper than that, but it is plastiwelded onto the outer piece. Weedahoe might have some, or he can rewrap yours. The door pieces I think would need to be rewrapped in vinyl or painted I believe. They're plastiwelded on too, I've heard they are a PITA to remove.

Sorry for the hijack but I've never seen that auto option in 4wd... Is that like awd?

The auto option is 4wd is like a LSD. When it feels slippage, 4wd kicks in to line ya up again. Only comes on when it senses that it is needed during slipping.

There are plenty of options for the dash, such as painting yourself or having it dipped or rewrapped.

Interesting, I was not aware of the Auto option actually did up until now anyway. My Sonoma didn't have that, probably because it was a little older

I've heard of something similar in the Avengers, traction control I think? Coming over from a GM family so I'm not familiar with everything yet!

I'll probably end up painting it myself, granted I can find the color and texture I'd like. Will look into ordering online supplies, fingers crossed I don't screw it up too badly, not exactly the most gracious artist in the world. Haven't checked about taking them out yet, but you're not the first person that I've heard it from Smoked, evidently my cousin had quite a day doing his.

Try a dash kit on ebay or thru an online search. It applies over what is already there and some kits include the pieces for the door panels.

I think only the higher end trim levels get the transfer case with auto

Hey Reactive, I've got a brand new take off silver bezel from my 07' that I swapped out for the navigation radio bezel. Basically the same one in the Ebay link above. $50 bucks and you pay the freight and it's yours.

i currently run the silver and dark wood one at the moment, but the gray and silver one may be what your looking for, id trade you straight up if your interested in it
