Removing Cup Holder

Hey everyone, brand new to this site, and also new to Dodge Ram ownership! Bought a 2004 1500 5.7 Hemi last Friday!

I want to remove the cupholders for cleaning as they are DISGUSTING! How is this accomplished?

Pull down your cup holders, behind the flappy plastic there are some screws. On top of my head I can't remember if there's anymore you need to take off but that should do it.

Thanks for posting the thread. I know it's been a while, but I to picked up an 04 1500 SLT Quad Cab and I have to replace the cup holder. Got one off of e-bay and I'm hoping the project will go quickly or at least without any major problems.

That is the same 1 I have, is yours the 4X4
it get great gas millage
if you don't do crazy stuff
like mudding or going through the woods
but then again that is why we buy them
screw gas millage and let it ride

I haven't pulled the front drop down ones out before but the rear one just pulls out.

Get yourself one of these tho, they are so much nicer.
