I didn't use a 4g wheel but I did install a 3g 04 SLT leather wheel on a 03 base model STX without any issues. To use the 4g wheel the clockspring wiring printouts would need to be the same. But on the otherhand if you were determined to make the swap it could be done possibly with some rewiring.

I have the leather in mine and it basically falling a part. If I'm going the invest in to a new one I would like to put an 4th gen in. I think they look better. But I need to know if it would fit. I have curse and radio controls.

My 08 ram steering wheel is doing the same thing. I wouldn't mind finding out the answer to your question either....
