Ok so I bought a remanufactured engine. I'm wondering if I should use silicone/permatex on gasket? I've been all over YouTube & through here. The block is fresh & nice, the cover where gasket meet is a tiny bit scratched & I've heard never anything abrasive, not even emery cloth. Which leads me to sway towards the silicone, oy on the alum side? 
So that pic is what the block looks like. That orange rubber is what has made me doubt myself
