Got to browsing around again and started looking at PPP's cams since I'm most likely going with their heads.

They have a cam that has the same duration as the 268 but with a little more lift, on a tighter LSA. It's 216/220 .562/.560 112LSA. Nothing too extreme, the 268 is 216/220 .528/.531 113 LSA. This just seems to me to be a better option to really let the heads flow, but not build power too high. Thoughts? Anyone run anything close?

And for those just tuning in, stall converter and VB are in place, 4.56s, LT headers and full 3" exhaust coming soon, ported Big valve heads will be in place before any cam goes in.

It might cause some fighting to play nice at part throttle if you are just doing email tunes. Its not a bad looking cam, far as your list doing the cam and heads at the same time will save you $$ in coolant and oil. Only doing heads first you will already be 90% there to do the cam. Does it say how they are measuring their lift? What RR are they using? It might be closer to the 268 if they are using a diff RR.

I meant the heads are going in at the same time as the cam.

As for the RR, they don't specify but they claim to be hemi specialists, so I'm assuming it's 1.65 like inertia uses. I'll probably email or call them and ask or see if I can't get a full cam card with the lobe lift. Even if it's 1.65 to 1.6 that's still a sizeable difference.

I've seen lots of good things about some of their bigger cams in srt grand Cherokees, and some around this size and smaller on the lx forums.

Take in mind the intakes flow different for the trucks vs the LX and jeep guys. You will still see good #'s but the other platforms show better results in high #'s. The Nag-1 trans is alot of that for helping rear wheel HP. Take my truck for example. My motor in the 300c showed 400 to the ground, in my truck only 350, gotta love drivetrain loss with the same crank HP. That cam will deffently rack hard at idle and have a good looking strong power curve. Your tires are gonna hate you.

Yeah I was actually just reading about that last night, and somewhere sells an accessory relocation kit that moves all the pulleys so you can run a car intake in a truck. Even a 6.1 if you buy that conversion.

Is it even possible to put a Nag 1 in a ram? Cause there's a few chargers in the junkyard.

Different plug for the trans and different computer, then you would just have to get a shaft made I would assume. Far as the front plate and intake setup check out D's truck who has that whole setup.

Thanks. Is there really a big enough difference between the 5.7 and 6.1 intakes to justify nearly $1000 to convert?

I prob' would not of done it if i did not get a great deal on almost all of the pieces needed being sold by a member. If you are looking for performance only then i would stick with the truck manifold. 6.1 manifold looks sick though.

Yeah I found some stuff on the flow differences and it really doesn't make a difference on the dyno until 5500+, and it's not a huge difference. Not one I'd spend a grand on at least.
