anyone tried fitting 3rd gen headers on the 4th gens

like the title say has anyone tried this i know i cant be the only one that has thought about this because 1500 to me is a little steep just for headers idk i just that i put that question out there more interested if it will bolt up with no problem u can always move thing around

They are different heads and am almost possitive the holes don't line up

Cut off the header ports of your stockers and 3G headers and reweld your factory stock head ports to the 3G'ers?

Hmmm sounds simple enough to do

The true main reason I asked is because I went to competition sales and they told me they have pacesetter LT headers but I know only arh is the only one that makes 4th gen lt headers and they told me they install them on a couple 2010 rams but when I called back they told me they had to special order headers for 2009 and up

If I'm not mistaken, factory headers form a GC SRT8 would bolt up if you could find a set. Only thing is they are shorties.

Ya I've read that before I wonder how much different the configuration is from the gc to the rams if the lt for them would fit in the engine bay I wish someone tried to be the guinea pig already lol

If I recall the gc lt's won't fit because the collectors would hit the crossmember dead on instead of just above like they should sit. Its probably a good 4" difference or so. There was a post on another forum where a guy got the two mixed up.

Jeep SRT longtubes are a royal PITA to do on a jeep, there might be a slight port mismatch also but cant say for sure.

The 3rd gen Pacessetter headers bolt up to the Eagle heads just fine, as do the GC SRT8 manifolds. I know I have both and have bolted both to the 09+ Eagle heads. As for chassis fitment, no clue there, do not have an 09+ Ram to test it up against. The SRT8 manifolds fit the 3rd gen chassis just fine with plenty of room to spare, that is after you remove the redundant tab on the passenger side of the transmission.

Numerous guys have done the GC SRT8 manifolds on 4th gens with no issues at all. Never heard of 3rd gen headers, that would be pretty cool if they did though
