No Heat When Parked

Problem is as i stated. I got heat when im parked but no heat when im parked. Plus when i 1st start up the truck i hear something like a baseball card in spokes. Any idea's? Im stumped. Please Help

Well with our 0* mornings we've been having Im not surprised. Mines the same until I start driving.. I'd check coolant levels / get it flushed.

Like when im parked. It blows COLD air. As soon as i rev it up to 3ish, the heat kicks back on.

Maybe a partial blockage in the heater core.

Ill check it. Also something weird, when i drove off today and put on the heat i got snow blowing thru the vents.

Thats Normal as the frosty snow sitting on your wiper cowl gets sucked in through the system! Kinda like its snowing inside...LOL.

Only lasts a minute or so on start-up!

That sucks, I hope you get her fixed especially in this cold weather.

That is a trip and good to know incase I ever see snow coming out and figure I'm still asleep and having a bad dream.

As said before, either the coolant level is low or the heater core is partially clogged

I am a big fan of these- Prestone® Universal Flush 'n Fill Kit (AFK1T) - Cooling System Chemicals - Ace Hardware . Install it in the heater core line and you can flush that sucker out.
