I have a 2004 1500 hemi ram, I was wondering if anyone ever ran into this issue.
When I am at a complete stand still it is hard to turn the wheel, like I have no power steering. If I move a little then steering start to work, other than that it works with no issues. I thought that perhaps the power steering fluid was low but when I checked it was completely full...is this anything to be concerned with? Is there anything I can check?

I have 20" tires on it and let me check the other things you mention, I normally have the radio on so I don't hear anything. Let me check those and get back to you on that.....thank you!!

It may just be because your at idle and now whe you turn the wheel your bogging down the motor so you don't have enough power at idle to run the pump 100% without giving it some gas.

hmm interesting, that does sound like what is happening if I am idle it is hard to turn but the minute I give it gas and start moving it starts to get easy to turn.

So what was the outcome? Seems like I have the same trouble.

It'll end up being the pump.

Had this happening on a different vehicle. Replaced the power steering pump and problem solved.

Too bad! Seems like a bit early for power steering pump! Isn`t it? Only 28k! Made in China I guess
