SCT tuner

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the sct brand tuners on an 03 ram. im wondering what all i can adjust on my 03 since i know other tuners dont do too much besides wot. im looking for a tuner that will do more for me throughout the wholethrottle range as well as bump the top speed and adjust gear ratios and tire sizes as well. anyone have any input on these cause the actual dealers will tell me it does but just like they did with the diablo and it wont do jack for my truck hardly. not so much worried about the tranny tuning cause its been built and the gears and stall will take care of most the trannys issues. thanks for the input

Austin, SCT does not support the 03 model. There is a ton of information on what' works for the 03 or more importantly doesn't work. SC is the only tuner that will adjust the rpm and speed restrictions. B&G advertises that can also adjust rpm, speed and idle with a re-flash. They are the only ones who say they can adjust the idle. Read the 03 thread as we are working on a method to raise the idle by pulling the pwr steering pressure switch plug. I suggest you first develop a tuning strategy then use the proven components that best work with your tuning capability. 03 model is not a friendly PCM and many little things upset it. There really is too much to cover so do some research and then post your specific questions. Good luck...

Also for anyone who reads this SCT has tunes only written by a tuner like Sean that are loaded onto it. You can get the softare to make your own tunes but its kinda risky. Greg is correct on the 03s not being supported.

Agree! The SC3865 is the best option for Our 03's if you want to shift in the 6K range, but no Custom Tuning on its own. Good luck with the Beast!

Note the SC3865 is the newest model tuner designed to support transmissions on newer trucks. It does not support trans tunes on the 03 and the SC3815 (older model tuner) will tune the 03 and are available used for less money.
