I have my rear seat out temporarily and I am surprised how much more road noise there is. The louvered vents on the back wall let in a ton of sound. Has anyone come up with a decent way to deaden the noise, short of closing off the vent? The factory rear wall insulation barely does anything. Seems like the seat does most of the work.

Mass loaded vinyl has worked really well for me. Its not so much the vents as the metal resonating that you are now hearing it for the first time. I have enough sounddeadener and MLV in my truck to literally slow it down .2 secs in the 1/4 mile.

Sound deadener show down shows a great picture of how they used MLV to create a cover over the vents that still allow venting, but reduce road noise
