"Custom" bed lights

I bought a bunch of LED strips of eBay, they were $1.50 for a 10" strip

I spliced into the 12v accessory wire on the 7pin hitch reciever for pure and ran an inline fuse up through the stake holes to a switch just inside the bed

The blob of electrical tap on the left is the t tap lol
The wiring will look different the most 4th gens cause my dad has a T connector between the factory 7pin plug and the bumper that gives him an extra 4 pin for his LED bar

It's just double sided taped to the top edge of the bedliner because the pins for the rail caps make it hard to position under the rail, we'll see how they hold up
He had to go somewhere so I'll be running power to the other lights and cleaning stuff up tommorow hopefully

If the ones you linked were the seller you got your from I've actually had some trouble with them, I got a 4ft for my girlfriends tool box and 2 2ft for the bed.
They only sent one of the 2ft lights till I sent then a message and they sent the other
They sent the 4ft through a different carrier and it's been oveR a month and I haven't gotten it

I have one of mine under the hood all hooked up, but still trying to find time to hook up the other too. Maybe in the morning if its nice

nice i have like 4 of those strips in the back of my truck to. But mine arent hooked up either. I had them for bout 6 months now to haha.

I got a TON of leds to install and this is one place they are going.

Me too, I have a bunch for my girlfriends truck too
We race dirtbikes so I usually load her and I's backs up at night since we're at the track by 7/8 in the morning so hopefully they help
I'm going to splice hers into the cargo lights through so we'll see how that goes haha

yeah that what I was thinking about doing also(tape the cargo light). But I might put a secondary switch in the bed....hmmmm dunno

I get LED ideas all the the time. I then order the LEDs. Then I change my mind. I have a stock pile im thinking im going to lay out next weekend and make a plan.

Is there any waterproof and weather proof switches? I wanna put a switch in the bed but don't have a tonneau cover to keep it hidden.

Hm wether proof switch was the reason I was shyin away from doing it this way on her truck cause the ones I was finding were $10 or more
Maybe I will do a switch
I'm just worried it might get broken
I'll have to look at hers a little better
I didn't plan out my dads very well so it took me longer then it should have
I bought 40ft (supposed to be) of wire and was about a foot and a half short
They're really bright though, here's with the tailgate and tonneau shut

Had my dad crawl in to see haha

not super cheap but one of these may protect them. or you could try and fab something similar.

Switch Guards these are super high quality. they make the switch guards for NASA.

ill be getting some for my dash switches.

just put my order in for a bunch of wire, connectors, heat shrink, and I have 6 toggles ready for action. youve got me all excited!
