New member here, not new to forums. I tried searching threads but can't find what I'm looking for.

I have a stock 14 ST, and I'm want to upgrade a few things but would like it to be plug and play as possible.

-Sirius
-Back up camera/oe handle
-Keep USB port in console if possible.
-Look stock or stockish

So my question(s) what is best way to go about this?

-Stock radio (Ucooect 5.0?) or aftermarket, Pioneer-AVH-X4800BS for example.

-If aftermarket radio is installed and a factory camera is used does computer still need to get flashed?

-Would aftermarket radio work with stock camera?

-How involved is running the camera harness?

Might be repeat questions, tech/audio not my strong suit.
Thanks for any info or links posted.

I just installed a pioneer avhx5800bh $287 on Amazon, best mod I've done. I had factory cam show in my mirror, now I have it on head unit and mirror. You have to use a video cable and tap into wires behind dash panel on passengers side. Install was fairly easy with a metra dash kit and harness. I got the avhx5800 for the HD Radio and front camera ability. 3c5e818ad649f58a1e454a7453541032.png

1. aftermarket radio will give you more functionality than a factory upgrade will. also better sound.
2. if you do an aftermaket no need to do the "factory" cam. There is more then enough space to mount a cam in the handle i did this on my old '13. Any "bullet" style cam will work.
3. depends on what way you go with the cam. both require you to run wires from the tailgate to the cab.

I noticed that your Pioneer radio is the same as the one I installed in my truck last week....

My issue is that the backup camera works great with the ignition on and the engine off in reverse....but when I turn on the motor, the camera no longer displays in reverse....

Anything like that happen to you????

No, mine works fine. Try going g to camera setting, it gives you 2 options for triggering the camera but I can't remember. I'll look at it after work tonight.
