You only need one LOC. But with 2 sets of RCA jacks NetAudio makes an awesome plug and play harness for our trucks and will prewire a good LOC in for you

I would say 3. One for the front channel, one for the rear channel, and one for a sub. Pretty sure That will give you the ability to fade front to back not including the sub. The instructions will say what configurations will work

So for that amp it should make its own signal for the subs without a separate RCA. Your LOC with 2 separate RCA outputs would cover your front and rear speakers and give you the ability to adjust levels per set. As far as number of LOCs there are many options out there that have multiple RCA outputs eliminating the need to buy multiple converters. I suggest contacting your local custom audio shop and seeing what they suggest and go from there.

I ordered two of the ones I linked to. Is there a better option so I just need one? I do want to be able to fade from front to rear still.

if you want to be able to fade from front to rear you need two or a device that adrum linked to.

Most 5 channel amps have selectors for what inputs to use. personally i have not used that pioneer so i cant say for sure on that one but most do.
